Measure Guide for Window Shades

Inside Mount Measurement

Depth Check: Ensure your window frame is at least 3 inches deep.

Measure Width: Provide the exact width inside the window frame at the top. We will make size deduction to ensure the headrail fits perfectly without touching the sides.

Measure Height: Provide the exact height from the top inside edge down to the sill.

Note: Expect tiny light gaps on the sides, as the fabric is slightly narrower than the headrail.

Outside Mount Measurement

Best Use: Ideal when window frames lack depth or for maximum light coverage. No minimum depth needed.

Determine Ordered Width:

Measure the exact width of the window area you want to cover (usually the frame or opening).

Add 4 to 6 inches (total) to this measurement for optimal light control and privacy

(this adds 2–3 inches of overlap on each side).

Determine Ordered Height: Measure the height of the window area you want to cover.

Important: The Ordered Width and Ordered Height you provide are the exact final dimensions of your shade. We make no size deductions.
